Let Your Voice Be Heard

Let your voice be heard! At the August professional development luncheon, I invited chapter members to sign up for the upcoming strategic planning session. (CLICK HERE to read more information on this important activity.) This four-hour session is sure to be full of energy and ideas, and I look forward to what facilitator Jim Welch has in store for us. If you plan to attend but have not registered, please do so by noon on Friday, Aug. 28.

For those who are unable to attend on August 31, we have a different opportunity for you to still make sure your “voice is heard” and be a part of this process. A membership survey has been posted for all members to complete by this Friday: IABC/Topeka Membership Survey.

By way of this survey, you have an opportunity to tell the volunteer planning group what value you see in your IABC/Topeka membership, what threats you feel might be lurking around the corner regarding chapter sustainability, and what benefits you’d like to experience as a result of your membership in the years to come. This online membership survey should take no more than two to three minutes. In addition to revealing the results of the survey at the planning session and to then serve as a resource as the group identifies key strategies, we plan to post the results on the chapter website at a later date.

I realize this message is short. I’m hoping the time it would normally take to read the President’s message this month is spent taking the SURVEY.

I hope to see you soon,

Lisa Ignoto
IABC/Topeka President
